Freshen sponges
Before long, bacteria can start to breed on your cleaning sponges, so you need to disinfect them! Put the sponge in a dish (with just enough water to cover it) and add ¼ cup of SAFARI® White Spirit Vinegar. Soak overnight, and your sponge will be clean and smell like new in the morning.

Deter wayward cats
If you want to stop cats from skulking around your house and causing mischief, soak a sponge in vinegar and place it in the problem area. Cats hate the smell and won't go near it. If your cat is marking its territory inside your house, spray the area with vinegar to get rid of the smell and prevent recurrences. Also, 1-part SAFARI® White Spirit Vinegar to 3-parts water poured over a pet urine stain and blotted with a clean cloth will neutralise the order.
